How to get to the Zirbenplatzerl: - By car Please enter “An der Alten Säge 9, 83334 Inzell” into your sat-nav via the Munich–Salzburg motorway (A8) -> Take the Siegsdorf / Inzell exit -> Follow the B306 to Inzell (approx. 12 km) -> In Inzell, turn right onto Traunsteiner Straße and follow the road; from the centre of the village, it becomes Schmelzer Straße -> After approx. 200 m, turn left into “An der Alten Säge”. Parking spaces are available directly in front of the house or in the car park on the right-hand side. You should have no trouble finding the entrance to the underground car park on the property. By train: It’s best to plan your train journey to Traunstein station. -> RVO bus route 9526 will take you to Inzell.
By plane: From Munich Airport, take the S-Bahn to Munich Ostbahnhof. From there, take the train to Traunstein. From Salzburg Airport, you should also take the train to Traunstein. From there, follow the instructions as described in the ‘By train’ section. -> After about 200 metres, turn left onto An der Alten Säge. Parking spaces are available directly in front of the building or in the car park on the right-hand side. You should have no trouble finding the entrance to the underground car park on the premises.
Description of the accommodation
Arrive. Take a deep breath. Feel at home. The scent of Swiss stone pine, Alpine charm, absolute tranquillity – yet everything is just a few minutes’ walk away. Ideal for walkers, cyclists, families and anyone who loves the mountains. Our lovingly furnished “Zirbenplatzerl” is centrally located (200 metres from the village centre) yet in a quiet spot, offering the perfect base for rest and (active) relaxation.
To get your day off to a great start, you’ll find a fully automatic coffee machine and a toaster, amongst other things.
Put on your walking boots and off you go! The immediate surroundings offer countless walking routes and mountain bike trails, including stops at cosy alpine huts. Off to the big city – Munich is just over an hour away, and Salzburg a mere 30 minutes. Berchtesgaden, with the Obersalzberg and the salt mine, also promises unique experiences and lasting memories, and can be reached in 45 minutes. You can reach Lake Chiemsee, with its bathing beaches and restaurants right by the water, in 30 minutes. For a day of wellness and water, Inzell has a lovely swimming pool, a small but excellent sauna and, in summer, a natural swimming lake. For dinner, there should be something to suit every taste at the local restaurants. Alternatively, you can cook in the fully equipped kitchen, which features a ceramic hob and an air fryer. Now nothing stands in the way of a cosy end to the day on the terrace or on the sofa with a snug blanket. In our holiday flat, you’ll receive the Chiemgau Card – a complimentary extra service provided by our participating partners – which offers numerous attractive free benefits! From October onwards, winter sports enthusiasts will also be in their element: the Max-Aicher and Chiemgau-Arena host numerous ice hockey matches, biathlon and speed skating races. If you’d like to get active in winter yourself, the Inzeller Valley offers plenty of space for cross-country skiing with over 80 km of groomed trails, and several large ski resorts for alpine skiing fun are just an hour’s drive away. The sofa bed is suitable for a child. The flat, including the terrace, is wheelchair-accessible and is situated on the ground floor. However, there is one step to negotiate at the front door. A washing machine and tumble dryer are available in the communal areas in the basement. You can also make use of a lockable bicycle storage room and an underground parking space. Additional parking spaces for general use are also available.
