The Le Boat Dancer 2 is a welcoming and practical 2-cabin cruiser, ideal for families or friends seeking a relaxed boating adventure.
Its standout feature is the bright forward saloon at the very front of the boat, offering panoramic views as you cruise, with a small outside seating area just beyond for enjoying the scenery in the open air.
With your accommodation travelling with you, you’re free to explore scenic canals and rivers, moor in charming waterside towns, and wake up somewhere new each day at your own pace. NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: You don't need any previous boating experience or licence to drive our boats—in fact, most of our guests are complete beginners; before you set off, our friendly base team provides a full hands-on briefing and practical demonstration where you’ll be shown everything you need to know to handle the boat safely and confidently, and we ensure you feel completely comfortable before leaving the marina. ARRIVAL AND RETURN:Please arrive at our base between 3pm–5pm for check-in and a pre-departure briefing, after which you’re likely to leave the dock between 4pm–6pm—on the final day, you should return and vacate the boat by 9am. FEATURES:
• Light and welcoming forward saloon with door to a front-facing outdoor seating area.
• Comfortable indoor seating and dining area
• Fully equipped galley kitchen with fridge, gas hob, oven/grill, microwave, kettle and utensils
• Warm air heating for cooler days and evenings
• Radio/CD player with MP3/USB connectivity
• 12-volt power sockets, plus 220-volt power when connected to shore supply
• 2x rear cabins with double bed that each convert into two single beds if required
• Saloon settee converts into an additional double berth, if required
• Fresh linen and bedding provided
• Bathroom with wash basin and shower (towels provided)
• Separate electric-flush WC
• Large upper sundeck with moulded seating and table, perfect for relaxing or al fresco dining
• Dual steering positions, from inside the saloon or from the upper deck
• ‘Easy-park’ sideways thrusters at the front, propelling the front of the boat sideways to make mooring and manoeuvring smooth and manageable, even for first-time boaters
• Full-width bathing platform with integral steps for easy water access and boarding
• Pets allowed for an additional cleaning supplement FUEL: Before you set off, you'll need to leave an Fuel Deposit in local currency and then, at the end of your cruise, your Fuel Charge will be calculated based on the number of hours your engine has been running—you'll either be refunded the difference or asked to pay for any excess hours used (the hourly charge is estimated to be between £14-£28 / €12-€34 depending on boat type and usage). DAMAGE DEPOSIT: You'll need to pay a refundable Damage Deposit at the base before you begin cruising which will be retained (in part or in full) when you return your boat; IF the boat or any of its equipment or inventory that has been damaged or lost, you will not have to pay more than the deposit collected.
DAMAGE RISK REDUCTION: The amount of Damage Deposit required, and thus your liability, may be significantly reduced by purchasing a non-refundable Damage Risk Reduction, which can be purchased at the base when you pick up your boat. ABOUT THE REGION:
Your boating holiday begins in Messac, a friendly town on the River Vilaine and an excellent gateway to the waterways of Brittany. Leaving the base, you quickly find yourself surrounded by green countryside and peaceful river stretches that set the tone for a relaxed journey.
Cruising from Messac allows you to explore Breton towns such as La Gacilly, known for its artisans, galleries and charming riverside setting, or head towards Redon, a lively canal town where the Vilaine meets historic waterways linking Brittany’s inland network. Along the way, you pass through quiet river bends and scenic stops such as the Île aux Pies, famous for its dramatic rock formations and natural beauty. With more time, you may also choose to visit the storybook town of Josselin, either by boat or as a day trip by taxi, where an impressive medieval château rises directly above the canal. Brittany’s waterways are calm and accessible, making them ideal for gentle cruising, enjoying local food and soaking up a region with a strong cultural identity and warm hospitality. AVAILABLE EXTRAS AND ACTIVITIES: • Bike hire available from our base (to take on board with you) • Parking available (for additional fee) • Wi-Fi packs available (for additional fee) • Fishing is permitted in certain areas – licence required • Swimming in some areas is permitted, although advice should be followed and caution exercised
