DAMAGE DEPOSIT: You'll need to pay a refundable Damage Deposit at the base before you begin cruising which will be retained (in part or in full) when you return your boat; IF the boat or any of its equipment or inventory that has been damaged or lost, you will not have to pay more than the deposit collected.

ABOUT THE REGION:
Your boating holiday begins in Messac, a friendly town on the River Vilaine and an excellent gateway to the waterways of Brittany. Leaving the base, you quickly find yourself surrounded by green countryside and peaceful river stretches that set the tone for a relaxed journey.
Cruising from Messac allows you to explore Breton towns such as La Gacilly, known for its artisans, galleries and charming riverside setting, or head towards Redon, a lively canal town where the Vilaine meets historic waterways linking Brittany’s inland network. Along the way, you pass through quiet river bends and scenic stops such as the Île aux Pies, famous for its dramatic rock formations and natural beauty. With more time, you may also choose to visit the storybook town of Josselin, either by boat or as a day trip by taxi, where an impressive medieval château rises directly above the canal. Brittany’s waterways are calm and accessible, making them ideal for gentle cruising, enjoying local food and soaking up a region with a strong cultural identity and warm hospitality.
