Welcome to the Eberlhof in the idyllic foothills of the Alps in Upper Bavaria!

The Eberlhof has been family-owned since 1906 and is now in its 5th generation. In the early days, 5 cows were kept at the Eberlhof. Over the years, the number of cows slowly increased to the current number of around 70 dairy cows. The first two generations ran the farm full-time to feed their families. From 1960 to 2023, the farm was first run by Michi's grandparents Elisabeth and Michael Posch, and from 1992 by his parents Martina and Michael Posch as a part-time business. Due to the cramped farm location in the middle of the village, a new dairy barn was built around 700 meters outside of Hochstätt in 2014. This step was taken to optimize animal welfare and work management. A new farmhouse was then built in 2022.
We - Maria and Michi Posch Jr. took over the farm from Martina and Michael Sr. in 2023 and turned it back into a full-time farm with our laying hens and two vacation apartments!
The newly built farmhouse has now become our home and our vacation guests also find their place in it, in our two vacation apartments Alpenzauber and Heuboden.

The motto at Eberlhof is: We think about tomorrow
Sustainability is not just a top priority for us, it is actively practiced. A central element of our sustainable philosophy is the use of photovoltaics. The sun that shines on our roofs is used specifically to generate clean energy. Thanks to an integrated energy management system and a 40 kWp electricity storage system, we achieve around 80% self-sufficiency throughout the year and are therefore largely self-sufficient. We can also use our own energy via our e-charging station to charge e-cars.
To take the sustainability concept a little further, we decided to install a wood chip heating system when we built our new farmhouse. The heating is fed with wood from our own forest and ensures that we have hot water and comfortable temperatures in the vacation apartments all year round.

Holidays at the Eberlhof are simply a very special experience! Surrounded by idyllic nature and fresh country air, you can leave everyday life behind you.

Here at the Eberlhof, you have the opportunity to experience life on an active, sustainable farm up close: Feed and stroke calves, watch the cows being milked, get eggs from the chickens or simply enjoy our fresh farm produce in our small farm store.
In our guest garden you can snack on fruit from our berry bushes or simply relax in a deck chair. In addition, our terrace with barbecue facilities and a campfire site invites you to spend sociable evenings in the balmy evening sun. Adjacent you will find our children's playground with play tower, sandpit, slide and swing as well as our children's vehicle park with Kettcar, pedal cars, Bobbycar and tricycle.

Conditions/extras
Your vacation with us at the Eberlhof offers you a few additional extras: We market 100% of our eggs in our egg house (Oa'Heisl) directly on the farm, where you also have the opportunity to enjoy other home-grown products from the Eberlhof. For example, our homemade egg liqueur, pasta made from our own eggs or processed fruit and vegetables from our own garden.
You can also collect the milk, which is milked around the clock by our milking robot Merlin, directly from our milk tap.
Our little guests will never be bored with our fleet of vehicles including Kettcars, Bobby Cars, tricycles and our playhouse with sandpit, slide and more.
While parents and grandparents can make themselves comfortable on our sunbathing lawn or by the fire bowl.

Arrival description
You can reach the Eberlhof by car via our very well-developed highway network, which includes the A8 and A93. The Inntal triangle provides the connection between these two highways.
If you are traveling by car from the north or east, you can easily reach Chiemsee-Alpenland via the A8 from Munich to Salzburg.
From the south, you can reach the region via the A93 from Munich to Innsbruck.

You can also easily reach our farm by train, Rosenheim train station is 12 km away. Rosenheim is not only an ICE train station, but also an important transportation hub where several railroad lines meet. From Rosenheim you have numerous connections to get to us at the Eberlhof. You can take the train to the station in Schechen and then change to the bus, which takes you directly to our bus stop 200 meters from the Eberlhof.
