Newstead Farmhouse is a charming 17th-century home situated within the South Downs National Park, near the historic town of Lewes, East Sussex. The cottage is perfect for families or friends, is welcoming and full of character.
Boasting a woodburning stove, this abode has been beautifully restored and offers a delightful escape to relax fully in the Sussex countryside.
There are excellent local amenities and attractions.
The cottage allows one well-behaved pet, Inside, you will be greeted by a warm and welcoming well equipped kitchen, with original polished red brick floor, oak furniture and a view into the garden terrace, perfect for preparing home-cooked meals.
There is an oak dining table that can comfortably seat 6. The sitting room is homely and full of charm with exposed original oak timbers.
Unwind in front of the woodburning stove and TV in the evening.
If you fancy some quiet time a second sitting room awaits, curl up here and enjoy a book. When it's time to retire for the evening, find three well-presented bedrooms awaiting you. Bedroom 1 has a king size bed, vanity table and a large bedroom wardrobe.

From the front door, wander a minute along the lane, and straight up the wooded slopes of the South Downs, to Black Cap, with its breath-taking views of the Sussex countryside all around, and a glimpse of the English Channel to the south. If you can tear yourself away from the calm of Newstead Farmhouse, visit Drusillas Park for some family fun.
Also great for young families are the many local farm visits like Middle Farm and Blackberry Farm.
Or visit the local vineyards for wine-tasting.
The Jolly Sportsman, a gastro pub, only a short bike ride down the lane, has an exquisite pub garden and excellent food. Venture out to the wonderfully vibrant Brighton, a 25 minute drive away, with its incredible array of shops, pubs and restaurants, where you can meander along Brighton Pier with an ice cream.

The bedrooms consist of a double, double with en-suite shower, and a child's bunk bed serviced by a bathroom and a cloakroom. Outside, there is a wrap-around enclosed garden with patio, lawn, furniture and off-road parking for 1 car. Within 2.4 miles, you will find a shop, and within 1 mile, a pub. One well-behaved pet. Sorry, no smoking. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen, and towels included in the rent. A stay at Newstead Farmhouse promises to be one to remember.
