Please note we accept one well behaved dog per stay and we request they do not go in the bedrooms, the property is strictly no smoking throughout and we are not available for stag or hen parties.

Runswick Bay is a beautiful spot on the North Yorkshire coast. Boasting a sweeping bay with a gorgeous sandy beach, The Times and Sunday Times Travel have recognised Runswick Bay within Britain's top 50 beaches. From sunbathing to rock pooling, fossil hunting to long walks along the lapping waves, the whole family will enjoy a day at the beach. With narrow lanes and red roofed cottages, it’s easy to fall for Runswick Bay’s charm. The village has a local pub and cosy cafe which sells delicious cakes and pastries. By staying in Runswick Bay, you’ll be ideally placed to explore the rest of the coast which includes Whitby, Staithes, Sandsend and Saltburn-by-the-Sea. The closest train station to Salt & Seaweed is a 15-minute drive away in Whitby so villages and towns along the North Yorkshire coast can easily be reached via rail. There’s also a taxi rank in close proximity to the train station. You can travel via bus easily from Runswick Bay. Hop on the X4 and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Sandsend, Staithes, Saltburn and Whitby.
