Casa Emma consists of an entrance hall, a living room with a balcony overlooking the sea, a kitchen, a double bedroom and a bathroom. The accommodation has all comforts such as air conditioning, Wi-Fi and is located in a very convenient location for all kinds of transport and services and a short walk from the beach and the bike path.
Also known as the 'border town' or 'Italy's flowery gateway', Ventimiglia is a charming and picturesque city that combines a rich history, a vibrant cultural heritage and a privileged location by the sea. You can visit the magnificent Hanbury Gardens, which are located on the Mortola promontory (a hamlet of Ventimiglia) and reach as far as the sea. Exotic plants can be found here. They were created in 1867 thanks to an idea of the English baronet Sir Thomas, who wanted all the plants he had collected while travelling around the world to reside here. The historical centre of medieval origin is located on a hill surrounded by walls dating back to the 16th century, definitely one of the things to see in Ventimiglia. The 'Cala del Forte' marina is the third port owned by Monaco Ports, along with Port Hercule and Port de Fontvieille. Strategically located less than 50 kilometres from Nice airport and a few minutes' drive from Monaco and its heliport, Cala del Forte also offers a direct sea link between Ventimiglia and Monaco with Monaco One, a revolutionary motorised catamaran that covers the distance between Monaco and Ventimiglia in less than 15 minutes. On land, everything has been designed for 5-star hospitality. It starts with the 15,000 m2 of promenades and gardens, a natural environment in harmony with the surrounding landscape, housing 31 businesses, including gourmet restaurants, coffee bars, a gymnasium, a boatyard, boating services and more. In the immediate vicinity you can visit some wonderful places, from the sea to the inland villages, there are many things to do and see. Not to be missed is Sanremo, the city of flowers par excellence, famous for the Italian Song Festival, its casino and noble villas with beautiful gardens. Not far away is also Bordighera, with its seafront promenade where you can stroll and admire the magnificent exotic garden. No less picturesque are the small medieval villages such as Dolceacqua, with its characteristic humpback bridge and the Doria castle, and Apricale, nestling in the hills. Finally, for those who cannot resist the lure of the sea, the beaches of the Côte d'Azur are close at hand: from Menton to Nice to fashionable Monte Carlo, you will be spoilt for choice to enjoy the sun and crystal-clear sea. Ventimiglia's local gastronomy is very renowned, offering the best of the flavours of the Ligurian Sea. Among Ventimiglia's most iconic recipes is Pisciadela, similar to Bordighera's Sardenaira, it is a red focaccia with onions, garlic, olives, anchovies and capers. Speaking of fish dishes, Brandacujun, or stockfish mantecato often with potatoes, garlic and parsley, is very popular. Several typical desserts reflect the rich local culinary tradition, the castagnola, a kind of marron glacé with poor ingredients, and the Turta de Lurè are very popular.
