Then go mudflat hiking in the beautiful and unique Wadden area and see for yourself what the Wadden Sea looks like without water. For a nice day of shopping, fortified town Dokkum is perfect and for a day of something really different, Schiermonnikoog is highly recommended. The departure harbor is near Anjum and from here it is possible to make a day trip.
