Our house Wimbachtal, located at the entrance to the National Park Berchtsgaden, is the ideal starting point for hikes to the Watzmann, the Wimbachtal, the Hochkalter and the Steinerne Meer. The bike path "Salzburg-Zell am See" passes directly by the house.In the immediate vicinity are the bus stop "Wimbachbrücke" (about 3 min walk), shopping, banks and restaurants.In summer you can be active and go mountain hiking, hiking, climbing, mountain biking, via ferrata and in winter go ski touring, cross-country skiing, tobogganing, horse-drawn sleigh, etc..

Freeway A 8 Munich- Salzburg until exit Siegsdorf/Traunstein, continue on B 306 direction Berchtesgaden, via Inzell, Weißbach until Unterjettenberg, from there on B 305 via Gasthaus Wachterl and Gasthof Hindenburglinde until Ramsau-Ort. Pass the entrance of the village, direction Berchtesgaden until you reach Wimbachbrücke. Turn right here, drive over the bridge and then turn left again into the street "Im Grund".
Description of the accommodation
You want to make a mountain tour with starting point Wimbachbrücke to the Watzmann, Steinernes Meer, to the Hochkalter or to the other Berchtesgaden mountains? Even if you finish a tour and on the same day still 'spontaneously' looking for a place to stay our apartment is ideally suited. We have a conveniently located accommodation for you, the bus stop is 3 minutes walk from our house. In addition, there is a free parking lot available as well as storage space for bicycles or similar and for your luggage, which you can pick up again from us after finishing your tour. Our mountaineer apartment (on request also bookable for one person) has a separate entrance and consists of: - a spacious room (16 sqm) with double bed (180 x 200 cm) - 2 seats with table, flat TV, W-LAN, kettle as well as dishes for making coffee or tea - bathroom with shower, toilet and sink as well as floor heating. You can get your breakfast on request in our house or: - in the Cafè Niedermayer which is 3 minutes away by car and which is open for mountaineers already from 06:00 o'clock in the morning.
