Mayflower Shepherd's Hut is a romantic retreat for two in Mid Wales. Offering dog friendly stays near Rhayader, an idyllic market town on the River Wye. Mayflower Shepherd's Hut has a log burner, a private hot tub and garden space. Walk from the doorstep to Gilfach Nature Reserve, or explore the spectacular Elan Valley. This brand new Shepherd's Hut is surrounded by the rolling landscapes of Mid Wales. Its solid hand crafted woodwork, log burner and luxurious king sized bed make this a cosy retreat at any time of year. What's more, it's a pet friendly shepherd's hut, so your four legged friend can enjoy a holiday too!
The beautifully crafted kitchenette has a two ring hob, combi microwave-oven, fridge, toaster and kettle. So you can dine out in the local town of Rhayader, pick up a takeaway or whip up a tasty meal or barbecue back at your homely little bolthole for two.
On chilly Autumn nights, underfloor heating will keep you toasty warm. Or light up the charming little wood burner and get cosy on the plush King size bed. Switch on the Smart TV and get stuck into your favourite series on Netflix as you snuggle up together.
The neat shower room comes complete with hand basin, flushing WC, shower & heated towel rail.

Like the juzcuzi and really relaxing area with a nice view
The wasps kept comming in through the fire chimney was a down fall but could be prevented by putting wire mesh or something around the outside of the chimney but apart from that had a nice time

Amazing stay! Cosy and very clean hut with the essentials. Great location with a short drive to town with local pubs and great outdoor walks.
