About this space
This cosy 3-bed property benefits from free parking for 2 cars and an enclosed courtyard. It's perfectly located to access all that Exeter has to offer, whilst still providing a peaceful retreat, being tucked away in a quiet residential area. The bustling Quayside is just a minute away, where you can try out some kayaking on the canal or enjoy one of the many eateries and bars. With all this entertainment on your doorstep, we challenge you to find a better spot for a break in the City.
Other things to note
The easiest way to access the Quay is at the back of the close. Go under the archways and turn left and follow the path to the main road. There is a lovely coffee shop on the corner serving amazing cakes and once you go past that, the piazza will open up on your right. This all takes less than a few minutes. This is also the way up to town (follow the signs).
If the management team are called out to a resolve an issue where you are at fault, you will incur a £50 callout charge, i.e. if you cannot connect to the Wi-Fi, but you have unplugged the router.
If you wish to extend your stay, please check with our team. The earlier you check, the better as we are sometimes unable to reschedule cleaning to suit.
You are welcome to use the outdoor area. We do kindly ask that guests clean up after themselves and leave this space in a state that is suitable for the next people staying, as our cleaners will be unable to provide a full garden overhaul at each changeover.
The holiday home is equipped with small hand soaps, toilet roll and basic kitchen items such as a sponge, washing liquid, bin liners and salt & pepper. If you want anything specific, such as liquid hand soap or kitchen roll, please ensure you bring this with you for your stay.
Supermarkets
Local Co-op is 5 minutes walk on Haven Road. Aldi, Iceland and M&S Foodhall are all within walking distance on Alphington Rd. (A377). Marsh Barton retail park is 5 minutes drive, also along Alphington Rd.
Local Restaurants
Exeter Quay, 2 minutes walk away, hosts multiple restaurants, bars, pubs and coffee shops. Too many to mention!
Local Attractions
Exeter Quay is a centre for watersports, (kayaking, paddle boarding, rowing). There are indoor and outdoor climbing facilities there, as well as Exeter tenpin bowling alley. The Quay is the startpoint of the Exe cycle routes, and river and canal walks that lead to Riverside Valley Park, and the Double Locks pub. Riverside Leisure centre is 5 minutes walk from the house. Exeter city centre and cathedral are 15 minutes walk away.
Trains
The most local train stations are Exeter St Thomas (10 minutes walk). Exeter St Davids mainline station is 30 minutes walk, or an easy taxi ride.
