Converted from a traditional boathouse, The Boathouse enjoys a superb setting right next to the picturesque harbour in Seahouses, Northumberland and is the perfect location for a family holiday.
The accommodation is arranged over the first-floor which helps to maximise those beautiful sea views.
The sitting area is warm and welcoming with extensive seating positioned beneath a feature vaulted ceiling and with a nautical theme to the décor, the property exudes coastal vibes.
Step into the small but perfectly formed kitchen area which has everything that’s needed to whip up delicious food for the whole family, with the adjoining dining area all set up ready for sociable family meals together.
With the choice of two double bedrooms and a single and a family bathroom to complete the accommodation, there is also a convenient shower in the garage, ideal for when you’ve been at the beach all day! Talking of the beach, The Boathouse is ideally situated close to the sandy beaches at Seahouses with the village itself well worth a visit, offering a good variety of shops and eateries.
You can catch a boat from here to Farne Islands where you can look out for birds and seals.
Jump in the car and head out to attractions such as Bamburgh Castle, Alnwick Castle and Gardens, Dunstanburgh Castle, Northumberland Country Zoo, Hauxley Wildlife Discovery Centre and Hadrian’s Wall.
Activities to look forward to while you’re in the region include golf at Alnmouth, horse-riding at Slate Hall Riding Centre and surfing at Bamburgh Castle Beach.

The Boathouse is a very attractive property having been imaginatively converted from a former boathouse, situated just a few yards from the colourful harbour in Seahouses, shops and eating places.

This cottage is in a great location and is cosy and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The private garage was great. The only thing that lets if down is the bathroom which is tired and in need of an upgrade. The shower in particular. We enjoyed our week here with our little dog.

The Boathouse was very clean and bright, nicely decorated and comfortable. It has a nice view of the harbour and the Farne Islands in the distance. It is within walking distance of all the amenities in Seahouses. We wish we had booked for longer than the three nights we stayed. It was a bonus having a garage to park the car in.

The cottage was lovely and well equipped and in a great location and we enjoyed the view of the harbour watching boats go in and out. However there is no soundproofing between the boat house and little boat house which meant you could hear everything resulting in very little sleep. The beds were very uncomfortable with sagging mattresses and a there was a smell of sewage in the bathroom.
