Forming part of an award-winning development, The Shelduck in Southwold, Suffolk, offers spacious accommodation, perfect for a large family or gathering of family and friends.

The open-plan living space offers a particularly special area and ensures guests a warm welcome.

The ample seating area is complemented by patio doors which help the light to flood in and the spacious kitchen and dining area offer a wonderfully sociable space where the designated chef can whip up delicious food for the holiday party while guests can gather around the breakfast island or the elegant dining table and look forward to long, lingering meals together.

You might even manage some alfresco dining with the attractive gardens supporting a decking area, complete with patio furniture all ready for guests to spend time.

At bedtime, there is a bedroom to suit everyone with the master super-king-size coming with its own en-suite facilities and with four bathrooms in total, there is no need to worry about queuing for the bathroom in the morning! Within a short walk of The Shelduck is the charming town of Southwold, where you will find a great selection of independent shops and eateries as well as a lighthouse, pier and a sandy beach with its well-known collection of brightly coloured beach huts.

Other nearby towns worth a visit include Aldeburgh, Thorpeness, Walberswick and Dunwich.

Attractions for the whole family to visit include Framlingham Castle, Sutton Hoo, Go Ape Thetford, Africa Alive Zoological Reserve and Ellough Park Racing Circuit.

If you want to get active, then check out sports such as horse-riding, sailing, fishing and watersports, all available anywhere along the East Suffolk Heritage Coast.

A lovely property that we all enjoyed staying in. Very handy for the shops, cafes pubs and restaurants and Adnams shop and cafe! Very modern property with all mod cons, we thought it could benefit from a larger fridge and also more cupboard space for dry goods.

The Shelduck is a great place to stay, very central, with en-suite for all four bedrooms. The property was lovely and warm. It's well equipped with everything you could need for a stay in Southwold. There are lots of little details which make the house perfect. Would love to stay again.

Very good property with a great location right in the middle of Southwold . Four en suite bedrooms was ideal for our family of eight stay. Lots of equipment in the house and great park just round the corner for the little ones. Only addition I would recommend is a Nespresso machine although lots of great cafes nearby.
