The Anchorage is a splendid, individually designed three-storey cottage, surrounded by Wiltshire countryside in the unspoilt village of Upper Seagry.
Situated on an award-winning organic farm just moments away from the Cotswolds AONB, this lovely dwelling is ideal for families and friends seeking a luxury getaway.
Upon arrival, you will find ample off-road parking on a private sweeping driveway off the main farm drive and an electric car charging point.
Inside your new home from home, you will find a fully-equipped kitchen with vaulted ceiling, exposed beams and a Smart TV, where you can rustle up your best dishes ready to savour at the breakfast table or in the formal dining area with large Oak table seating 10 guests beneath a vaulted ceiling and beautiful pendant lighting, all within the warmth of a crackling woodburning stove.
On warmer days, why not head out to the terrace where you can enjoy meals alfresco along with your favourite chilled bottle, courtesy of the wine chiller, or enjoy spectacular sunsets and panoramic views from amongst the bubbles in the wood fired hot tub. Continue through to the sitting room, echoing the character features of exposed beams and vaulted ceilings, where you will find plush seating, a large flat screen Smart TV and an additional woodburning stove for those cooler evenings, a perfect haven for unwinding.
There is also an additional snug perfect for children to watch their own shows on the smart TV, play PlayStation or break away for a quiet read of a book with direct access out to the gardens to burn off energy.

The living areas in the property consist of a kitchen/diner with electric double oven and induction hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, wine chiller, rack, breakfast table, Smart TV and a woodburning stove, a dining room with seating for 10, a utility with washing machine and tumble dryer, a sitting room with woodburning stove and a Smart TV, and a snug with Smart TV, PlayStation, table tennis, and a selection of books and games. Five bedrooms: 1 x ground-floor super-king-size with en-suite bath, walk-in shower, basin, heated towel rail and WC, 1 x ground-floor twin with adjacent ground-floor shower room with walk-in shower, basin and WC, 2 x lower-ground-floor twin bedrooms each with en-suite walk-in shower, basin and WC, 1 x first-floor double with en-suite walk-in shower, basin and WC. . Outside, there is a front, enclosed, west facing terrace with outdoor furniture, wood-fired hot tub, panoramic far-reaching views across the farm to the distance with spectacular sun sets, as well as ample off-road parking. Within 1.7 miles, you will find a shop, and within 0.9 miles, a pub, and please note that this is a non-smoking property. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. DEFRA have imposed a nationwide housing order for all free-range poultry following an increase in avian influenza among migrating birds, which is now infecting domestic poultry in parts of the UK.
While there is no risk to humans, this means our chickens will remain indoors until further notice, and access to the area around the poultry units will be restricted.
We know that seeing the hens roaming the fields is often part of the charm of staying on the farm, but sadly that won’t be possible until spring. Rest assured they are perfectly content inside — being organic, they enjoy more space than conventional birds and have 24-hour access to their indoor “play pens” filled with shavings, hay bales, and even Christmas trees to explore.

We had a wonderful stay, it was lovely and perfect for our family getaway. The cottage comfortably accommodated all 10 of us. The facilities were excellent and had everything we needed during our stay. It also has lovely views and is a very peaceful area. We had a fantastic time and would happily recommend this cottage to others, we would love to return in the future.

The house was lovely, lots of space and the bedrooms were to a high standard. The kitchen was well equipped and is a great space for a large gathering. The unlimited wood for the fires and the hot tub was great too.

Lovely accommodation, a great size for 3 generations, where space is much needed! Will definitely look to book again - the area is beautiful and there are lots of great things to explore nearby.
