About this space
A cosy 3 bed home that can sleep 6 people comfortably, with plenty of character, an eclectic mix of modern-boho decor, and a traditional wood-burner. There is a tranquil garden that gets the afternoon sun and a large kitchen-dining room for the whole family to enjoy. Positioned right in the heart of Exeter, yet tucked away on a residential road, you are in the perfect place to access the shops, restaurants and bars of the city, whilst still enjoying peace. High speed broadband is also installed.
The space
This was our very loved home for many years and we are delighted to welcome you into it as our guest. It would make a wonderful place for a family to stay and we have kitted it out for those travelling with a baby. Equally we have furnished it to make it a great place to work from home, with a dedicated study, desks in two of the bedrooms and high speed broadband.
Because of its location on a quiet street just on the edge of the city centre, it is an excellent base from which to enjoy all the best of what Exeter has to offer, as well as the surrounding Devonshire countryside. Please don’t host parties here and we ask you to be respectful of our house and the neighbors on this peaceful, residential street. We hope you enjoy staying here as much as we do!
The home has an airy entranceway that opens up to a bright hallway. On the ground floor you will find a large, bright lounge with comfortable sofas and a television to relax on an evening. Down the hall is a modern WC and completely renovated kitchen, which has all modern and integrated appliances with plenty of utensils to whip up a meal for the whole group. The space at the back of the kitchen has plenty of windows allowing light to pour in all through the day, and this is where the dining table is, providing a wonderful space to eat together. From the dining area bi-folding doors lead to the garden.
Upstairs there is a room currently set up as an office; perfect for those who need to be doing some work during their stay. We also have high-speed broadband available throughout the property. There is a bathroom with bath and shower over, as well as a separate wc. At the front of the property there is the master bedroom with large bay windows and traditional wooden furniture. This floor also has a further double bedroom. In the loft space there is a large room that has a king-size bed. This room is very spacious, but does have sloping ceilings on one side.
The garden is compact, but provides enough space to sit out on an evening and enjoy some sunshine.
Guest access
This home will be yours in its entirety for your stay. There is no allocated parking, but there is pay and display parking on the street and it is free to park between 6pm and 8am. Magdalen Road car park is nearby for all-day parking (around £11 per day).
You are also only a 10 minute walk from Exeter Central station.
We provide each guest with travel-size toiletries, and 1 loo roll in each toilet for the first couple of days of your stay.
Please note that firewood is not provided for the woodburner.
Parking
On street permits only - we may be able to provide some on request. There are two car parks very close by, costing about £11 a day.
Key safe
Unlocking: Push the 'Clear' button down, then enter the code, then rotate the knob at the top.
Locking: Close the unit, then rotate the knob in the other direction.
Internet
High speed fibre broadband is served to the house via BT.
There is an ethernet connection available in the study, master bedroom and middle bedroom.
TV
Netflix is provided as well as Freeview channels

The area is quiet and peaceful. Please enter and leave the house quietly and considerately; it is a residential area with many elderly people, and young children.

You will also be given the choice between paying a refundable deposit or buying a non-refundable damage waiver.
