Both places are lovely destinations for a day trip. The Europa Cycle Route R1 and the Peace Route, together with many other cycle paths, offer countless possibilities for cyclists. The well-maintained golf course in Telgte is approx. 4.3 km away. Canoe trips on the Ems are a particularly enjoyable experience. The river is usually very calm and is also suitable for inexperienced paddlers. The blue ribbon of the Ems winds its way beautifully through the green landscape.
