Fern Cottage is a well-appointed abode emanating charm and character, that can be found nestled in the village of Hinderwell, close to the village of Staithes and the North Yorkshire coast.

Ideally situated within reaching distance of both coast and countryside, this delightful dwelling offers the best of both worlds and provides the ideal base for an exciting group getaway to North Yorkshire.

Be welcomed into a wonderful lounge, complete with traditional woodburning stove and two plush sofas, where you can kick back and relax as you enjoy a thrilling movie on the TV. A charming dining table can be found resting in the other side of this warm and welcoming room, perfect for hosting a family feast as you share your fondest memories of the holiday so far. Across the hallway, the kitchen has been designed to a high standard, boasting all of the essential appliances and a sociable kitchen island, giving a farmhouse feel.

Discover a contemporary bathroom housing a spacious bathtub and a separate shower, so that you can choose to have a relaxing soak in the tub or an invigorating shower at the end of an action-packed day. The ground floor also hosts a pretty twin bedroom, delightfully decorated with crisp white bedding and views out to the well-kept garden.

Climb the open tread staircase up to the first floor to find two beautiful bedrooms including two doubles, both of which offer a truly serene setting, perfect for winding down as you let your head hit the pillow.

One of these bedrooms has the additional benefit of an en-suite shower room, so you can enjoy in a quick rinse at the start of each new day. Make the most of warmer climates with lunch alfresco in the enclosed front garden or bask in the sunshine as you sip on a refreshing beverage in the rear courtyard.

Head down to the local for a tasty pint of ale, before moving on to one of the well-established local restaurants for a mouth-watering three-course dinner.

Explore the sandy beaches of Staithes and Runswick Bay or hop in the car and head to this historical seaside town of Whitby, well-worth a visit during your stay.

Embark on an awe-inspiring walk along the coast or seek thrills at the nearby Flamingo Land, home to a number of exhilarating rides and exotic wildlife.

Fern Cottage is a heart-warming cottage situated in the village of Hinderwell in Yorkshire. Hosting two double bedrooms (one with en-suite), along with a twin bedroom, and a bathroom, this property can sleep up to six people. Inside you will also find a kitchen, and a lounge/diner with woodburner. To the outside is off-road parking for two cars, an enclosed garden to the front with lawned area, patio and furniture, as well as a small courtyard to the rear with furniture. Resting in a delightful setting with much to keep you occupied, Fern Cottage is an excellent retreat in a pleasant part of England. Note: Changeover day is Friday.

Excellent cottage with a wide range of facilities. Easy access to North Yorkshire beauty spots but area very hilly for old people. Easy access to Whitby and we even took the bus on one occasion. No criticism of Fern Cottage but exit difficult to see safely in view of cars parked on the main road, in particular a Land Rover which never moved the whole fortnight. Overall a very enjoyable holiday.

We arrived at the property to find it lovely and clean and tidy, it had all the utensils and comforts we needed. The garden was secure for the children and a nice place to sit out in the shade or the sun. Milk and cookies provided on arrival was very welcome. It was handy for the beaches near by and the local coffee shop was very handy. The children (2 and 4) loved the games and toys available.
