Buxton 3 miles.

The Shavings is a charming studio apartment, set in the rural hamlet of Cowdale on a working farm.

This property is a lovely alternative to the usual Peak District cottages, in a superb location on the edge of the Peak District National Park, just 3 miles from Buxton.

Set on the ground floor of an old stone barn conversion, The Shavings offers a welcoming and homely accommodation ideal for couples.

Look forward to relaxing into the evening in front of the TV; break out the popcorn for a romantic movie night or plan the events for the days ahead.

Cook up some delicious evenings meals in the well-equipped kitchens and gather at the breakfast bar with a refreshing glass of bubbly to toast to a wonderful holiday.

When you find your eyelids drooping shut, retire to the double bed and get some much needed rest, with a contemporary shower room to serve.

The Shavings is a wonderfully welcoming and economical base for a relaxing holiday in the Peak District.

The Shavings occupies an excellent location on the edge of the Peak District National Park, just 3 miles from Buxton. Hosting a studio-style open-plan living room with a kitchen, dining area and sitting area with an electric fire with a double bedroom and a shower room. The Shavings is a wonderful holiday home for those who want to sample all that the Peak District has to offer. Please note: This property doesn't allow car charging at the property.

Just the right place to return to after a day out walking, or at the Gilbert and Sullivan festival in Buxton. Quiet and comfortable, very pleasant location. Just one thing - also mentioned by other previous guests. The light in the courtyard is left on all night and there is no adequate blind or curtain at the window to keep it out. I am one of those who sleep much better in the real dark.

The cottage was exactly as I expected and was very comfortable. Very well equipped and the position in Cowdale was good for walking and days out with the car. My dog and I had a good holiday.
