Darlington 2 miles.
Lying in a quiet rural area on the fringe of Darlington is this detached modern bungalow.
With easy access to the gateway of the Northern Dales, it provides an excellent base to explore nearby historic market towns, some beautiful countryside and castles.
With all ground floor accommodation, there is a bright and sunny sitting room with French doors opening onto the front garden, where you can sit and relax with a morning cup of tea before heading off for the day.
The dining area leads off from the sitting room, while the modern kitchen is to the rear.
With a contemporary bathroom and two charming bedrooms, it provides an inviting and comfortable holiday home to return to after a day of adventures.
Darlington centre is just a couple of miles away and brings you to a selection of restaurants, pubs and shops, as befits a large thriving town.
Steam enthusiasts will enjoy a visit to the Railway Museum, home of Stephenson's Locomotion, or to the Shildon Railway Complex, which is twinned with the National Railway Museum in York.
The Civic Theatre in the centre of Darlington has an active programme, as has the Forum Music Centre.
The renowned, challenging golf course at Rockliffe Hall is on the doorstep and Croft Racing Circuit is 2.4 miles away.
A short drive brings you to the pretty market towns of Richmond and Barnard Castle, with their cobbled streets, independent shops and quaint tea rooms.
There is splendid countryside around here as you drive into the classic Dales landscape of dry stone walls, rivers and deep valleys.
This is perfect walking country for those wanting to explore the upper valleys of Middleton-in-Teesdale, incorporating the well-known Cauldron Snout and the High and Low Force waterfalls.
The affluent market town of Yarm lies eight miles away and offers an excellent variety of top restaurants, bars and retail therapy! Head north from the property and visit the magnificent Durham Cathedral, perched high above the meandering River Wear, or take the motorway south and within forty minutes, you are at the city of York for a wonderful day out.
A perfect base for an interesting and varied holiday, anytime of the year.
