Secret Island Yurt is a secluded and romantic lakeside retreat set on its own private island on the edge of the village of Beckford, near the Gloucestershire and Worcestershire border within the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Designed for a memorable stay for couples, this pet‑friendly hideaway combines an open‑plan layout with indulgent features including a sauna and firepit, creating a setting that encourages time taken slowly.
Park up nearby and take a moment before stepping inside, letting the water and surrounding quiet begin to set the tone.
The yurt opens into a distinctive open‑plan space where living, dining, and resting flow together, creating an atmosphere that feels both characterful and easy to settle into.
Bags can be set down, shoes slipped off, and the space quickly starts to feel like your own. Cooking is comfortably woven into the heart of the yurt, with a full oven and hob allowing for proper meals when the mood strikes, and a microwave on hand for simpler options.
Once food is served, the dishwasher keeps everything moving along smoothly, leaving you free to linger over the table or ease into the sitting area without interruption.
As daylight softens, the gas woodburner‑effect stove brings warmth and focus to the space, making it a natural place to unwind.
When the evening calls for something low‑key, lower the roll‑down screen, choose a DVD, and enjoy a relaxed cinema‑style night that suits the calm of the island setting.
Later, climb up to the mezzanine level, where the king‑size bed looks out over the living space below, forming a tucked‑away sleeping area that gently rounds off the day. Tucked to the side, the freestanding roll‑top bath invites long, unhurried soaks without breaking the open flow of the space.
For deeper relaxation, the sauna offers a warming retreat, while a separate basin and WC keep the layout practical without interrupting the living area.
Outside, the wooden veranda wraps the edge of the island, placing you close to the water at every turn.

Secret Island Yurt is a special, lakeside holiday home set on a island, on the edge of the village of Beckford. One of a group of four on-site, the property sleeps two people in one mezzanine king-size double bed. With interesting, open accommodation, the yurt also includes a kitchen with an electric oven and hob, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, kettle, toaster. a dining area, a sitting area with a projector with soundbar, DVD player and a roll-down screen.woodburner-effect gas stove and a luxury roll-top bath. There is also a separate room with a basin and WC. Guests can access their own private sauna with CD player from inside the yurt, while outside on the decking is a private hot tub, along with patio furniture, a firepit and a barbecue . There's also off-road parking for one car and use of the owner's rowing boat and cycles. Secret Island Yurt is a delightful holiday home with unique accommodation, perfect for a romantic break. One well-behaved dog welcome.

The second time we have stayed at this wonderful yurt. It is a little piece of private heaven! Fantastic views and totally away from the outside world. Everything you need for a relaxing break, everything worked well, lighting, heating, kitchen.Hot tub and outside area well lit and warm. We will definitely return!!

We booked this for our 30th Wedding Anniversary and we loved every minute. There are 4 yurts on the property but this one, as well as being on a little island, has a lake all to itself. We loved it so much we booked again for next year the day after we got back home!Accommodation• All the facilities...
