Drive in either direction taking in the Jurassic Coast and Chesil Beach, or explore Weymouth, Portland and Lyme Bay, all close by.
Visit Forde Abbey and Gardens, Symondsbury Craft Centre and Broadwindsor Craft Centre, or perhaps enjoy some English wine tasting at Salway Ash.

The bijou cottage was well equipped and the living space excellent although the downstairs bedroom and bathroom were remarkably cold. It is probably because no sunshine came through the windows. The bed with mattress was tired and needs replacing. There needs to be a grab rail on the wall to aid climbing over the bath side after showering.

This was a great venue and Beaminster is (still) a lovely spot. We won't manage to make it back however; a Friday to Friday turn around just isn't doable due to motorway traffic on a Friday afternoon (on the 400 mile trip home we averaged 35 mph)

Cannot speak too highly of the accommodation both in comfort and design.
Beaminster is pleasant town and Dorset is wonderful county.
Thoroughly enjoyed the break.
