In winter with alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, winter hiking and in summer with hiking, climbing, glacier tours, running, mountain biking and Paragliding.
Quiet and centrally located in the Alpmatten, about 15 minutes walk from the cable car station.
Not far from the Alpmatten ski lift and about 5 minutes walk from the pedestrian lift that brings you into the village center.

The skis can be deposited in a ski rack right in front of the house.
Right below Chalet Polaris, experienced skiers have the option to ski directly onto the skis and diagonally across a field onto Alpmattenstrasse, from which one easily reaches the Alpmattenskilift below Schönbiel.
To return to Chalet Polaris, it is simplest to ski to the Hotel Garni Slalom and walk the last 100 meters.
The last 100 meters to the Chalet there is a narrow path, unfortunately it is not possible to tow a sled or trolley to the chalet.
It is recommended to take your luggage with you in a backpack.
A possible taxi ride from the cable car to the Chalet Polaris is only possible up to the Hotel Garni Slalom.
