This holiday flat is a 'dammuso'. This is the name given to the typical historical constructions in the Hyblean Mountains, carved out of a natural cave.
In Scicli, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, you can admire the beauty of the late Sicilian Baroque and discover the locations of Commissioner Montalbano. For relaxing days at the seaside, the sandy beaches of Sampieri, Pozzallo and Donnalucata are ideal and can be reached by car from the flat. In Scicli there are several restaurants, pizzerias, wine bars, pastry shops as well as theatres, art galleries, cinemas and museums. Discover also the alleys and illuminated churches.
The holiday flat is located on the ground floor and was renovated in January 2013. It has a bathroom with shower, a double bed and a kitchenette equipped with a cooker, mini-oven and refrigerator. Two single beds can be added on request. A flat-screen TV is also available. Air conditioning is available. Typical for this holiday flat are the round arches made of limestone, although the old stone vaults have been preserved. Wi-Fi is available.

Abbiamo soggiornato ad agosto per 3 giorni, ed eravamo tre amici.
La sistemazione è un tipico dammuso situato nel centro storico di Scicli, con arredamento nuovissimo, pareti in pietra e angolo cottura. E' situato in una piazzetta a 100 metri dall'area pedonale, dove hanno girato la fiction di Montalbano.

Wir waren Anfang März zu zweit in dieser kühlen und dunklen Einraum-Wohnung und haben die Sonne und das Licht vermisst. Die Wohnung ist wohl eher für die warme und helle Jahreszeit geeignet. Die Klimaanlage/Heizung hat aber gut funktioniert. Handtücher muss man aber im Wohnraum oder draußen trocknen...
