From here you can make beautiful excursions in the near and far surroundings.For example, on foot to the Königssee in just 30 minutes walk, by car in five minutes to Berchtesgaden or in 30 minutes to the festival city of Salzburg.

Arrival Description
You drive from the A8 Munich direction Salzburg. Take the exit Bad Reichenhall. This is the last exit before the Austrian border. (VIGNETTENPFLICHT!) From Bad Reichenhall on the B20 follow the signs to Berchtesgaden.You will pass through the towns of Bad Reichenhall, Bayerisch Gmain, Hallthurm and Bischofswiesen and finally come to the large traffic circle at the Berchtesgaden train station.From there take the exit to Königssee on the B20, at the end of the town turn right down Untersteinerstraße. Follow the Untersteinerstraße until you reach the speed 30 zone. Shortly after the church (on the left hand side) you will reach Pension Unterstein on the right hand side.
