Information about the host Welcome to the Sonnhof's holiday residence! Spend your well-deserved holiday in the midst of a picturesque mountain world in a warm, family atmosphere.
The 2 houses of our Sonnhof's Ferienresidenz are situated next to each other in a quiet location in the heart of Reit im Winkl.
You can choose between cosy hotel rooms and lovingly furnished flats.
We also offer our flat guests a breakfast service: breakfast buffet or bread roll service.
Hiking paradise / cross-country skiing pleasure right on the doorstep.
Your advantage as our guest: We are a partner rental company/business of the Reit im Winkl Swimming Card.
This gives you the opportunity to receive additional free services in addition to our own services, such as free admission to the Reit im Winkl outdoor pool, the Kössen forest swimming pool, and the east shore and lake promenade at Walchsee.

Environment description Luftkurort Reit im Winkl Laut Wikipedia wird das Prädikat Luftkurort an "Ortschaften vergeben, deren Luft und Klima laut einem Gutachten Eigenschaften aufweisen, die für Erholung und Gesundheit förderlich sind.
Reit im Winkl wurde 1956 zum Luftkurort ernannt und hat seitdem die Voraussetzungen für das Gutachten durch bemühen immer wieder erfüllt.
Zum einen die Höhenlage, die dafür sorgt, dass die Sommerhitze gemäßigt und die Nächte angenehm kühl bleiben.
Der Ort ist umgeben von ausgedehnten Bergwäldern der Chiemgauer Alpen und ist zum Großklima dem Klimabezirk "Bayerische Alpen" zuzurechnen.

From there take the Bundesstraße 305 (German Alpine Road) to Reit im Winkl (27km).
The Inntal motorway offers an alternative.
Turn off shortly before Rosenheim at the "Inntaldreieck" and drive to the Oberaudorf exit.
From there, take the Austrian federal road 172 to Reit im Winkl.
Coming from Salzburg, take the motorway (A 8) to the Inzell-Ruhpolding exit and continue via Ruhpolding to Reit im Winkl.
By train to Reit im Winkl.
The nearest train station is in Prien am Chiemsee.
From here you have the best bus connections (RVO bus line 9505) to Reit im Winkl.
By plane: Munich Airport is approx. 140 km and Salzburg Airport approx. 70 km from Reit im Winkl.
