Vacation in architectural monument combine heritage conservation and tourism. Historically valuable buildings are taken over, gently renovated and rented out as holiday flats. The model provides a double benefit: the monuments are given a new future and the holiday guests experience a stay in an exceptional building. The idea is being realised by the foundation Vacation in architectural monument (FiB), which was founded in 2005 by the Swiss Heritage Society.
Car park: A space directly next to the house and not covered. Access to the house is guaranteed. The space by the container should remain free, please park other vehicles in the car park by the school building.
Public transport: The bus stop is 50 metres away.
Number of persons 4-8: A baby cot (up to 2 years) is available. The house can accommodate four to eight guests (plus baby). The house can be entered from both arbours. These lead directly into the high smoking kitchen with adjoining very modern kitchen. From the smoke kitchen you enter the cosy dining room and the Stipli (small adjoining room) behind it with a comfortable sofa. A small staircase also leads from the kitchen to a double bedroom. A steep staircase leads to the 2nd floor. There are three double bedrooms and a bathroom with shower/WC. There is also a separate WC on the east arbour on the ground floor. The house can also be rented for just four people, making it more economical. The floors are made of wood so we recommend good slippers.
Garden: Two covered arbors offer space for the garden table and chairs. There is also a gravelled area in front of the house where you can linger. The view from the garden extends over meadows into the impressive Brunni valley, which is wedged in by rugged mountain flanks.

Open: The house can be rented all year round.
Pets: Pets are allowed.

The Stüssihofstatt is a listed building that has been renovated with great respect for the existing substance. The tenant is aware of this and treats the property with care. Although the technical equipment is up to date, certain functional details do not meet current standards and are a potential source of danger. The tenant is aware of these circumstances. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt in diesem Haus, wo sowohl die Restauration als auch die Einrichtung komplett gelungenen ist. Respekt für all die Mühe und die Kunst und nicht zuletzt das Geld das Haus so zu gestalten und in seinem Äußeren zu bewahren.

Das restaurierte Haus an sich mit der moderenen Innenausstattung. Wunderbare Lage (schönes Wandergebiet, viel Natur)
Relativ dunkel von der Beleuchtung und hätte ohne Problem heller ausgestattet werden können (Birnen mit mehr Watt).
We really enjoyed our 4 night stay and could have easily stayed for a week or more. We were a little concerned before arriving if the house would be warm enough but the oven system works extremely well. The owner also warmly welcomed us and explained everything in detail. The house is well equipped and the internet also works fine (in case you plan to work). We would love to be back one day.
